ahh just found out it was renewed for a 2nd season of 13eps!

the first season was probably a test, similar to Eastbound and Down which also only had 5 eps. in Season1

I thought it was a 6 or 8 episodes that were suppose to air but they ordered a whole season after the numbers from the premiere it blew the other shows they offer Breaking Bad, Mad Man, out of the water. I'm excited and this is still a DVR show for me, I am sometimes asleep from a hard days work.

So what did everyone think about the season finale? I think the last two episodes slowed down alot, but I really liked certain parts to it. Like yesterday's cold open, that was a really good reveal for that particular character.

Still, looking forward to next season. And I got that Walking Dead Compendium, but my wife won't let me get at it until Christmas. I'm really interested to see how closely they follow the comic.

Yes, The opening was awesome.

After that not much action but still interesting to watch.

I just read that it's probably coming back next October. That's a LONGGGG time to wait, I hope it's worth it! They should up the episode count if they're going to draw it out that long.

Season 2 will be 13 eps.
They will stick to a timeline similar to other Specialty Cable Networks
like SHOWTIME and HBO where their shows have shorter ep runs and they only air once a season.

I enjoyed the whole six episodes that aired. My DVR served me well and I was not disappointed by what it showed. The characters coming and going. The Storyline plot and bits of actions for a show that is on a budget is wonderful. I only hope that the future shall show the effects of blood and other CGI effects used could be tightened up a bit. Look less like a Dreamcast game and more like the state of the art type that they can do with a bit more money. Can't wait for it to return.

I've been reading that Walking Dead Compendium on and off since Christmas and just finished it over the weekend. This series is amazing. The compendium contains issues 1-48 and the improvements in writing as the series goes on are fantastic. I'm probably going to pick up the trades from here on out because I don't think I want to wait til issue 96 for the next Compendium release since they're around issue 80 or so now.

If the tv show goes back to follow the comic plot at all it'll be cool to see how they interpret it, as the job they've been doing so far has been excellent.

2nd season, yes! I wonder just how far they can go in the series without straying from the compendium.

Well, looking forward to seeing Tyreese, Michonne and the Guvna on screen. That'll be cool.

I actually didn't realize that AMC was going to do a marathon of the show yesterday and today, how's that for timing? I need to see this on DVD with subtitles, I always have to turn it down a bit because my son's asleep whenever it's on and I keep missing lines.
