Kick-Ass
Starring Aaron Johnson,Nicolas Cage,Chloe Moretz,Christopher Mintz-Plasse,Lyndsy Fonseca,and Mark Strong
Rated R
What can I say about this movie based on the MIller/Romita jr.comic that was groundbreaking?Well for starters,I guess I
would have to say if you read the comic series and enjoyed that then you maybe a little disapppointed with this film. The
plot of the movie flowed the series somewhat but fall short when they gave away too much to soon in the near beginning.
The story follows Dave Lizewski(Aaron Johnson) and his friends as they ask the question why there are no superheros in
the world. If you read the series you know that Dave decides to make up a costume and try to fight crime as Kick-Ass with
dangerous results. For the most part the movie was faithful to the comic series but,SPOILER ALERT: the idea that Chris D'Amico,
(Christopher Mintz-Plasse) comes up with eliminate Kick-Ass with befriending him as the Red Mist should have been
revealed near the end of the movie.I found that when they casted the roles of Hit-Girl( Chloe Moretz)and Big Daddy
(Nicolas Cage),I thought they made some good choices.I like the fact that the costumes for the movie were dead on
from the way they looked in the series and the script was pretty good. The fight scene were well done and the movie had
a good vibe to it,but like I said earlier I feel they gave away too much too soon.Other then that being a bother for me
I thought it was a good attempt at bringing the series to the big screen.
