| Repo Men Starring Jude Law, Forest Whitaker, Alice Braga, and Liev Schreiber Rated R and Unrated
On the request of Lady Z I watched this movie and I have to say it was very entertaining. The story of this film is two men named Remy(Law) and Jake(Whitaker) who work for a company that provided artifical body parts to the public on credit ,and their job is to repossess those parts when the client can no longer makke the monthly payments. The problems starts when Remy's wife tells him to choose between his family and his job.As he makes a decision to get out of the repo business he decides to do one more job,but a work related injury changes things for him.Fitted with an artifical body part,he finds that he can no longer do his job.As time goes on,he gets behind on his payments to the point where he needs to find a huge commission to get off the collection list.Remy runs into a lounge singer named Beth(Braga) who is in the same boat as him,and he finds that both of them are set for parts repossession. The company sends repo men after Remy and Beth and jake finds himself faced with either choosing his job, which he loves,or helping his best friend. This movie moved at a nice pace and was well written, and the chemistry between Law and whitaker was great. There was a few scenes that made me wince because they looked painful but they fitted into the movie perfectly. Also without spoiling it,the ending was something i did not expect to happen, but it kind of fit into the whole feeling of the movie.Compared to some of the movies that have come out in the last few years, this is truely one of the most entertaining i hhave seen in a long time.

| Go for "Repo. the Genetic Opera" for the musical version. Absolutely entertaining, but keep in mind that it is a rock opera. |

Seen it and have it on DVD. Love it! Zydrate Anatomy went though my mind constantly for about two months after seeing it.
I still have not seen Repo Men. Will need to add that to the netflix list. |

| I really enjoyed this movie. When I first started watching it I got this strange feeling that it was shot in Toronto. It wasn't until the Subway scene where you can clearly see the logo of the TTC (Toronto Transit Commission) that I knew for sure it was shot in T.O. Subsequently I read about it on Wikipedia. I thought it was a really cool concept, and although adapted from the book Repossession Mambo it's nice to see an original idea find its way to the big screen. With all the remakes that have been going on it's refreshing to see something different. | I watched Repo Men in the dollar theater and it was OK for the 1.25 I spent to see it, but it won't be in my collection. It had it's moments throughout the movie but it never just grabbed me and sucked me in like some other movies I have seen this year. _______________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ Euphoria, shut the f*ck up! Oh good, put me in a mood to hear it again, thanks! I'll see it tonight. I have several on demand copies of it.
