This weeks entry into the hot chick hall of justice is none other than Kara Zor-El herself, Helen Slater. She was the first to audition for the role of Supergirl in the 1984 film and ultimately walked away with the part. The movie itself set the Superman movie franchise back a few years but Helen was very solid in the role and didn’t want for work afterward.

Soon after swooping into battle as a superhero, Helen became a different kind of hero in the wildly popular cult classic The Legend of Billie Jean. In this film she played a trailer park hottie who chooses shooting a guy over sexual blackmail and becomes a fugitive on the run and a modern day Joan of Arc. Even after buzzing her hair off in this film she was still one of the hottest women on the planet and truly worth busting a scooter for.





Helen continued through the rest of the 80’s with roles in the comedy hits Ruthless People and The Secret of My Success as well as many guest appearances on television shows and was a spokesmodel for L’oreal. Along with close friend and fellow hottie Gina Gershon, she formed the New York theater group the Naked Angels. In 1995 she gave birth to her daughter and took a short break from acting.



Helen resurfaced in the beginning of the decade with appearances on the big screen and television. She also released her first musical album in 2003 featuring her vocal and piano stylings. Since then the 47 year old has made numerous appearances on television shows such as Grey’s Anatomy, Smallville and Supernatural and has a handful of film projects in the works. She has also made many convention appearances and is always a popular guest. It may be a bird?....It may be a plane?....... but it’s definitely a Babe of Yore.
